What Are the Greys?
Whether you are a believer or a skeptic, many individuals have reported sightings of unidentified flying objects. A much smaller—but still significant—number of those individuals have also reported some sort of contact with the entities alleged to be piloting those objects.
Various types of entities have been reported, but the Grey aliens are by far the beings most often described as the type encountered by contactees. In fact, approximately 50 percent of all contactees describe what is known as the "typical" grey alien encounter.
This document contains an extensive list of the various traits, characteristics, and behaviors that are commonly associated with Grey aliens as reported by those who claim to have had some form of contact with them. It is formatted to be easily used in individual study and for comparing the characteristics of the Greys with other creatures who might share similar qualities of particular interest to the researcher.
Common Physical Traits of Greys
Overall humanoid shape.
No visible skeletal structure.
Tough, smooth-looking skin.
Bipedal; stands erect.
Lack of muscular definition.
Grey skin (light, dark, cobalt).
Small, thin torso.
Height ranges from 3 to 8 feet
Large, pear-shaped head.
Large, round posterior skull.
Large, almond-shaped eyes.
Eye color: opaque black.
Eyes slant upwards to rear of skull at ~35 degrees.
Eyes "wrap-around" toward temples.
No discernible iris or pupil.
No eyelids. Exception: some with thin nictitating membrane.
No ears; have small auditory orifices.
Two small nasal openings.
Flat or small nose. Exception: larger Greys sometimes have more pronounced nose.
Small, thin, lipless mouth with no teeth. Mouth appears non-functional and immobile.
Narrow, elongated chin tapering to a "V."
Thin, elongated neck that seems incapable of supporting weight of head.
Long, thin arms reaching to the knees.
Thin legs proportional to arms.
Long, thin hands with small palm and no opposable thumbs.
Three to five long, non-tapered, and jointless fingers.
Fingers and toes can be webbed/non-webbed, can have fingernails/no fingernails, can look like suction cups or claws.
Small feet that are usually covered.
No visible external sex organs; larger Greys reported to have some vestigial reproductive capabilities.
Characteristics of Greys
Surprising physical strength.
Slow, deliberate, and precise in physical mobility.
Efficient in the dark.
Often appear to be naked; sometimes wear hooded robes/uniforms.
Sensitive to ultraviolet light.
Have been known to make threats.
Capable of telepathic communication; reported to sometimes use high-pitched chattering, whispers, humming, buzzing, or staccato beeps/clicks.
Reported to do or say deceitful things.
Appear to be emotionless, cold, and calculating.
Afraid of adult humans, especially large ones.
Responsive to spiritual convictions of humans.
Some have been reported to have intercourse.
Obtain nutrients by absorbing food through the skin.
Excrete waste through the skin.
Abilities of Greys
Can cause a sense of missing time; able to alter human perceptions of their surroundings.
Able to induce paralysis.
Able to physically mark humans and animals.
Can be physically deterred or harmed by humans.
Can shape-shift; often appear fluid or plastic in nature.
Can control the bodies of human abductees.
Can manifest and dematerialize at will.
Able to levitate subjects and objects.
Can inflict pain, extract/inject fluids, and use medical instruments.
Can cause illness and death.
Known to instruct, train, or teach abductees.
Can cause mental disorientation and confusion.
Able to forcefully abduct humans and animals; can physically steal or take possessions.
Can extract knowledge and sensory information from contactees.
Able to use colloquial languages.
Apparent Social Structure of Grey Aliens
The social structure of Grey aliens is not known for certain, but the following feature of their society have been reported.
- Group consciousness that is hive-like in structure.
- Appear to have a hierarchical social order.
- Militaristic and systematic in nature.
- Reported to give the impression of gender, though there are no obvious physical distinctions.
- There seem to be two main social classes or maturity groups among the Greys—one is very abrupt and crude, while the other is more refined and diplomatic.
Phenomena Associated With Greys
Grey aliens have been reportedly linked to or associated with a wide variety of physical and metaphysical phenomenons. These include:

- Fog or hazy weather conditions.
- Humming or pulsing sounds.
- Cancer, gynecological problems, and other illnesses.
- "Other" beings who are commonly assumed to be extraterrestrial in nature.
- Underground and underwater facilities.
- UFOs and balls of light.
- False or incorrect prophesies or predictions.
- Abductions of both humans and animals.
- Feelings of "having your soul sucked out."
- Nauseating odors.
There are some other claims that are a bit controversial but still worth mentioning.
Some believe that Greys:
- Feed on the "life essence" or energy of living victims.
- Consume a synthetic substance mixed with human blood (absorbed through the skin).
- Hold some humans captive in underground facilities.
- Are associated with cattle mutilations.
What If What I Saw Is Not a Grey?
