People Across TikTok Are Claiming They Have ‘Proof’ They Were Abducted By Aliens

It can’t just be a coincidence, can it?

The evidence folks provide in an attempt to prove their alien abduction stories varies widely. Some have nothing more than their stories of strange beings and even stranger probes. Others claim they have been granted special knowledge, or display properties like human magnetism. On the turn-of-the-century sci-fi television show The X Files, abductees had metal tags inserted in their nasal cavities or the backs of their neck. If you’re musician and Elon Musk baby mama Grimes, alien abductions result in swirling scars all over your back. And then there’s this new TikTok craze: alien bites.

In this trend, people are showing off their geometric bruises on their limbs as a sign of alien abduction. Though one of the “bites” on the video has an odd, nearly triangular shape, most are circular or oval. And look, I’m not one to deny your own lived experience of alien abduction, but I will say that bruises that look like that are often evidence of a fungal infection, such as ringworm. Besides, a dab of anti-fungal cream couldn’t hurt, even if the infection is extra-terrestrial. We don’t know what kind of diseases aliens might be carrying.

This goes double for the possibility of a Lyme disease infection, which can often present with a “bullseye” type rash as well.

All I’m saying is, a quick trip to the urgent care might be warranted if these bruises begin appearing on your skin. I’m not saying it’s not aliens, I’m just saying maybe it should be looked at by a medical professional.
