I prefer greys and greens. I generally don't like the color orange unless it's a burnt orange, but now after reading this, I feel like orange should be one of my fave colors. I'm an artist, and orange promotes creativity. Glad I learned something new :)

So mom's favorite color is green... but not for corn. She likes her corn sunny yellow. She looks good in corn color. She likes red, especially if it's on an apple. And she wears black and purple and navy blue. And other stuff too. She doesn't much care for pink, although she does have some pink stuff. Did you know that in 1918 an article was published stating that pink was best for boys and blue, the soft color, should be for girls?

I like it, but one could argue the colors black and white being the absence of color and the combination of all colors respectively. While that's true in the light spectrum, if you're talking about paint or dye or anything other than light you'd have to reverse those two statements (black = all color, white = no color). That's actually where black being mysterious and white being purity come from: black includes everything and white is untouched.

Just food for thought, but great Hub overall!

Really intriguing comment Jean! I am like that too, I used to love green, then purple, then red, and now I don't have a favorite color anymore...well. Yes I do. It's yellow.

I'll look into this some more...hmm

Does anyone find that they are drawn to different colors at different times in their lives? I was a natural blonde, and used to wear blue often. When I began studying Metaphysics in more depth, and was making positive changes in my life, I was drawn to violets and purples. Lately I like a dark pink, or rose color. I thought maybe it had to do with chakras. I'm happy HP added "Interesting" to the comments, except for up and useful, I didn't really like awesome. Beautiful is fine, of course!

Gray is the fourth color down, right under the picture of the brown eye. I agree too about generalization, then again...it takes a lifetime to really know a person, there is only so much you can tell about another human being if you judge them by "color" eh?

Nice Hub! ...Where's gray in this? :P

But to be honest, I think a lot of this is purely a generalization.
