In crystal healing, the term "element" refers to the natural elements of earth, wind, fire, air and spirit. Each variety of crystal is associated with an element that matches its individual properties and energy. Working with these elements can help to enhance your experience in healing, chakra work, meditation or ritual and spell work. Working with these natural elements can help to increase and fine-tune your results. The more a stone corresponds to your needs the more likely you are to achieve a successful outcome.
As with other aspects of crystal healing, you may find that different sources associate different crystals with each element. You may also find that you feel a crystal does not fit with an element suggested. This is completely fine and in both cases, it is absolutely fine to be guided by intuition in deciding which stone to use. Remember that no harm can come to you by experimenting with what works best on your crystal journey. If you feel a crystal resonates more with a different element, experiment and see how it works out.
On the contrary, if you are new to crystal healing or do not feel confident deviating from what you have been read or taught this is also fine. If you feel that you have difficulties sensing or understanding your intuitive feelings and guidance, try not to worry. It can take time to develop these skills, especially as many of us have been taught to ignore these feelings or that they cannot be trusted. With time and practice, these natural skills can be rediscovered and developed to assist you in all areas of life.
