Taurus Moon Sign People

It's been the day from Hell. You pushed "snooze" on the alarm clock one too many times. When you got in the car to rush to work, the little orange gas tank warning symbol was blinking. So you had to stop on the way to the office and arrived at your desk messed and stressed. And of course there is a stack of messages waiting upon your arrival. Your aide informs you it's time for the meeting. The meeting?! Damn. The flash drive with your presentation on it is at home sitting on the printer. The day doesn't improve from there. By the time you get home, you're such an emotional wreck, you can barely think.

But as soon as those thought processes kick back in, who will you call? It's your friend with the Taurus Moon sign who will help you calm down, put this day back into perspective, remind you what strengths you possess, and maybe even get you smiling about it in a little while. This is the friend you can always count on to take the drama out of a situation, tell you to stop obsessing about the worst possible scenario, and suggest alternatives to be sure whatever mess you made does not happen again.

It's simple to find out what astrology sign your moon is in!

Defenders of the Environment

Most Taurus Moon sign people have a gentle and warm demeanor, one that quickly puts others at ease. Taurus Moon natives love the outdoors, so be prepared for lots of hiking and camping, fishing and skiing. Once your Taurean finds their “dream home” it will be located on a quiet, wooded lane, or an out of the way cul-de-sac. If gardening or landscaping wasn’t part of life before, it certainly has a large role to play now.

The new homeowner will be studying garden catalogs, calling tree nurseries, and planting, seeding, mulching, the works. This property will be a showcase. But that’s not the reason for all the work that went into it. Well, it does add to the curb appeal and property value. But Taurus Moon sign people feel calm working in the soil and the Earth, it truly helps to soothe their souls and help them to center themselves. So you get a beautiful garden out of it too! Before you know it, the new homeowner will be an avid environmentalist; attending all the local town meetings to be sure nobody is building anything unattractive in “their” neck of the woods!

Although they are not flashy people, Taurus Moon sign people like nice things. Comfortable, nice things. They will not suffer for the sake of fashion, and usually feel happier in old, ragged work clothes. Comfort is a big theme in the Taurus Moon sign world. They buy furniture for the way it feels when they sit on it, not for the looks. They are very sensible, down to earth souls, but buy the best so they get the most for their money.

Kind, Dependable, and Thrifty

Any Taurus Moon sign person is dependable, kind, practical, and a very loyal friend. Sure, they get upset like anyone else does, but always seem to project an outward appearance of calm. Taurus Moon people need to feel safe and crave security, but will work very hard to achieve this state. They realize that whether they like it or not, money is necessary to live a comfortable lifestyle, so learn fast how to make enough to insure that they have what they need. Taurus Moon sign people are savers and investors as well. Maybe even investment bankers. Plus, they are not ones to run up the balances of credit cards or to spend money in haste.

Lovers enjoying nature.

Lovers enjoying nature.

Romantic and Faithful

A lover with a Taurus Moon is very romantic. They also possess magic fingers and a great sense of touch. They love foreplay and can really get you in the mood. They are great kissers too. Also big huggers, but that goes for anyone, they are just affectionate with everyone. It isn’t their style to engage in a lot of frivolous dating or hook-ups. Taurus Moon sign people want a secure and long lasting relationship and tend to settle down young. These are the kind of people that end up married to somebody they met when in high school. This is a person who doesn’t buy you a dozen roses. They buy you a rosebush, because it will last, like their feelings for you, and they will actually plant it for you! Does that melt your heart or what? This is somebody in for the long haul, in sickness and health, richer or poorer (they prefer richer). You get the idea.

Taureans love kids and can get along with practically anyone, as they are gentle and careful with other people’s feelings. They have the patience of Saints. But if you push them too hard; they will just go slower. Do not try to direct them in a direction they don’t want to go. Change is very hard for them.

Peaceful and Talented

Courteous or even courtly describes a Taurus Moon sign person’s attitude, sort of old-fashioned is their style. They are determined and persistent, always reaching towards their goals. They are not easily swayed from their opinions or dreams, and normally exercise good judgement.

These are good-hearted people always willing to lend a hand. They are sympathetic, and tend to help with actions rather than words. They make great real estate agents or park rangers, and like to build things with their hands. So engineering and architecture are good careers for a Taurus Moon person.

The Taurean love of luxury makes their home a popular hangout. It is always a refuge of beauty and good taste. Since Taurus rules the throat, they are often singers. You go to their house the most because its comfy, the food is good, the company pleasant, and the music collection is formidable! The Taurus Moon sign person in your life is a peaceful person who spreads harmony wherever they go.

Questions & Answers

Question: Is there a way to bring in a positive change in the lifestyle of a Taurus moon, since change is something they resent, as it's outside their comfort zone? Is there a way that works with them?

Answer: I was married to a Taurus for thirty-four years, and agree that they hate change. You need to be subtle about it. I think they are afraid of change; I would go that far!

It's best to review the facts regarding the change you want to make. Show them how it benefits them, and how it's only a little change. It won't be a whole lifestyle change. Since they are practical, they may need reassurance you can afford to do whatever you are trying to get them to do. Taurus Moons don't want to argue, since they are Venus ruled, so arguing won't help. Charming them into it can help. Let's face it; everything is out of their comfort zone. Try all of the above, and more facts. Leave brochures around. Taurus wants to please you and make you happy too. Remind them of that, but don't pour it on too thick.

Question: I am Cancer sun with Gemini in Moon, he is Libra sun and has Taurus in Moon. On the one hand, it works wonderful, on the other hand, we are quite different. Can you tell us where to work on our relationship based on our astrological chart?

Answer: The Cancer Sun and Libra Sun are what we call a square aspect. That means you will challenge each other. There are no "good" or "bad" aspects, it depends on how you use the energies. You are sensitive and want to be in a secure relationship, and Libra loves to be in a partnership. Your feelings get hurt more easily, but Libra Sun will discuss what's bothering you and so that's a plus.

The Gemini Moon means you can be hard to pin down, your feelings are somewhat ruled by your head, and you change your mind often. His Taurus Moon is romantic and faithful. So you both can be serious and light at different times. I think the differences are good, it keeps the relationship interesting. I don't have a lot to go on here, but I think it's worth trying to see where it goes.

Question: I’m a Cancer sun, Virgo rising and Taurus moon. My love interest is also a Cancer sun, Libra rising and a Scorpio moon. Are we compatible? Btw, a lot of the Taurus moon influence makes sense.

Answer: I am happy the Taurus resonated with you. Normally I don't see a lot of couples with the same Sun sign together. They can be too alike for it to work. But I like the Taurus and Scorpio Moons. They create challenges emotionally and sexual tension. Both are fixed signs. Because you are both Cancer, and have fixed Moon signs, you are both looking for security and a longer term relationship. Both are loyal and sensual. You are both a little possessive but will get that about each other. The Virgo Rising comes off as the intellectual and is more talkative. And also more critical. But Virgo rising people like to care for others and are health conscious, also get bored fast. Libra rising people are more outgoing, and Virgo rising likes to go out and meet people, so for two homebodies, this bodes well for you. I think it's definitely worth giving it a try to see where it takes you!

Question: I am a Taurus Moon. When will I get a big break? I am currently working on my dream, keeping aside everything else.

Answer: I don't know what degree of Taurus your Moon is in. But planet Uranus is in Taurus right now and will be for a long time. Taurus Moon rules your emotions, and Taurus people don't like change as a norm. If you can find out what degree the Moon is in, when Uranus gets close to that, that's when a big change will come in your life.

Question: I'm a Sagittarius with a Taurus moon and I am very comfortable with change. I actually enjoy changes in life. Is this the Sagittarius influence?

Answer: Yes, being a Sagittarius is a part of it. A Taurus doesn't like change at all. But this dumbing down astrology by thinking the Sun sign is so meaningful is getting too time-consuming. Every planet is in a Zodiac sign, and you have 12 houses each having 3 or 4 important meanings about different areas of your life. The distance between the planets are aspects, and they matter. So I can't tell you much based on about 1/25 of a Natal Birth Chart. You did guess right though!

Question: I'm a Scorpio woman. Who would be a good match for me?

Answer: Every planet, your Moon and Ascendant are in a zodiac sign. The idea that people think their Sun Sign is so meaningful just isn't true.

I find most water signs like Scorpio do well with earth signs, like Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn. If I thought you had many Fire sign planets, I would steer you towards an Air sign man.

If anyone special comes along and you can find out more about them, or if you are beginning a new relationship, come on back, and we'll "screen" them!

Question: I’m a Libra moon and the guy I like has a Taurus moon, is that considered good compability?

Answer: The Moon rules what you like or need to feel secure. Both Taurus and Libra are ruled by Venus, so you have gentle personalities when it comes to discussing and expressing your feelings. I think communication will be good between you. Go for it!

Question: I'm Libra sun Taurus moon could you please tell me which zodiac signs are good matches for me?

Answer: Both Libra and Taurus are ruled by Venus, so you are a gentle, peacemaker sort of person. Libra is a cardinal sign of leadership though, so it's sort of like the iron hand in the velvet glove. You have goals and want to achieve them. You are outgoing and well liked. The Taurus Moon means you have stable and loyal emotions and will be a "rock" to someone who loves you. An Aries or Sagittarius would be nice, perhaps with a water sign moon. If you meet someone new, let me know and we can reconsider.

Question: I am Taurus and I like an Aries girl. Is this a good connection?

Answer: Zodiac signs next to each other usually get along well, so I think it's a good connection. It means you probably have planets in Aries, and she probably has planets in Taurus. This will help you communicate and understand each other better.

Question: I am a Libra w/Taurus moon. My boyfriend is a Pisces w/Leo moon. We get along great, hardly ever fight but when we do it's a sh*tstorm of stubbornness and ego. I love him. Are we, a Libra and Pisces, a good match in the long term? It's a little cloudy between us.

Answer: Libra is a cardinal leadership sign, and you love to be part of a couple. It's ruled by Venus, so you like peace, although even Libras have a breaking point, and it gets intense when you have had enough. Taurus is also ruled by Venus, but is a fixed and stubborn sign which doesn't like change. Since the Moon rules emotions, you are devoted and romantic. But you are very stubborn too. The Pisces BF is a dreamer, not a leader like a Libra, you have goals you want to achieve, and he may not. But he's sensitive, loving, and fun to be with. The Leo Moon is fixed like yours, so he is stubborn with his feelings and opinions as well. He also wants to be treated like a King. And being a Libra, you expect to be showered with attention as well.

Now all your planets are in a zodiac sign, and with the fixed sign Moons, you are both too stubborn. You want to make something of yourself more than he does, you probably notice he's a tad lazy. If you are having issues, talk about it, but if you keep fighting, I don't think this is the best combo. I'm not saying it can't work, but if you find you are still not satisfied in a short time, don't waste a lot of energy on it. As that old song says, "My Momma told me, you better shop around." After the next storm may be the time!

Hi Jean!

What a lovely read, thanks for the article!

My chart:

Sun: Gemini

Moon: Taurus

Venus: Gemini

Mars: Taurus

Rising: Virgo

His chart:

Sun: Cancer

Moon: Taurus

Venus: Leo

Mars: Libra

(unsure of his rising)

Given these planets/alignments, would you say we have good compatibility?

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on January 03, 2020:

Hi Alex,

You are on the money will the analysis of Libra/Taurus, and Sag/Aquarius, but as you say, it's not insurmountable. Let's look at his other positions.

I like the Mars in Aries, he's passionate. Aries has more staying power in love than people realize. My late husband had an Aries Moon, and was always off doing new things, but we were together for 39 yrs. They are hopeless romantics and very sexy, especially the Mars position. Mercury in Scorpio is about how he thinks, so it's hard to change his opinion. He learns everything he can about something or SOMEONE he is interested in, so that's great for you. A Taurus Moon is faithful and true. Also, the Libra Venus is hopelessly romantic and he will eventually want to settle down. Your Libra Sun and his Sag one are good--air and fire. I also like His Libra Venus because he really does want a life partner, and you are Libra. I think this can really go places! I think you may want this to go a bit slower, or may be more uncertain about how committed to be yet, but as long as the pace is good for both of you now, stay with it. I think it's good! Best Wishes. Jean

Alex on January 02, 2020:

Hi Jean,

Thanks for the article!

I am a libra sun libra venus aquarius moon (scorp merc scorp mars)

he is a sag sun libra venus taurus moon (scorp merc aries mars)

we are newly dating but taking it slow and both enjoy the pace of how the relationship is going. I am wondering what you're opinion on his commitment level (based on his planets, I know there's way more to look at) and the best way to approach communicating to him if/when I am ready to get more serious and take the next step. I know both Libra and Taurus dislike confrontation and conflict, but of course that is bound to happen in a relationship. Also sag and aquarius are more independent and non-committal. Any advice/info/feedback is much appreciated!

Thank you :)

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on October 11, 2019:

That is confusing. His Moon in Taurus means he does like security and being in a couple. Being a Sun Gemini though, he gets bored fast. You have Cancer Sun and Ascendant, so are looking for security and commitment. The Moon in Scorpio is also very intense emotionally, although his in Taurus is opposite, and that's an attraction. You both have Venus in Gemini, so are both interesting partners and like to have a lot of interests. I can see you are more serious than he is. But it hurts to be asked for exclusivity and then to be told you are "clingy." Try talking about it, Venus in Gemini is good for communication and discuss what you both want. Tell him to make up his mind. But if you give him another chance and he does the same thing, move on. Don't let him keep hurting you.

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on June 30, 2019:

I like the astrology/planet combination. I am thinking he really likes you, but being burned, is not ready for a relationship right now. That's honest, as Virgo, Taurus and Scorpio all are. Give him some space, and don't give up, it could be good. Virgo Sun and Venus is probably very critical and health conscious. They can be prudish about sex too. But he has the Moon in Taurus and Mars in Scorpio, which trumps the Virgo to a certain degree. Try to take it slow, he sounds like he's worth waiting for. It just depends on how long you are willing to wait for a commitment.

Sarah on June 22, 2019:

I met a Guy with sun/venus in virgo, moon in taurus and mars in scorpio about a month ago. He just got out of a 3 year relationship and we've been honest with each other from the start. However we hit it off pretty quickly and began spending time every day. Nothing sexual, rather hanging out, cuddling, getting to know each other. Now it has all gotten to much for him and he asked for some time even though he already told me that he could imagine us to be more in future. I'm a Libra sun, scorpio moon, virgo venus. I think his taurus moon calms me down, his mars conjuncts my moon which feels nice and we got that virgo sun/venus/venus combo. I just wonder how much time he might need to sort through his feelings. He keeps me updated, but we haven't seen each other in a month...he already told me that he is quite critical and worries a lot whether I like him and he is afraid I might get annoyed because of his mood right now. I really hope this 'thing' continues at some point because we felt pretty good and about each other.

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on January 02, 2019:

Hello Deborah,

The worst trait of a Taurus Moon would be their unwillingness to change. I sounds like the one you know has other planets in Gemini. They never shut up! She could also have Venus in Cancer, self absorbed and me, me, me. All of our planets are in a zodiac sign, the moon just represents our emotional life.

Deborah Johnson on January 02, 2019:

All good comments about Taurus moon, but none of the draw back are mentioned. The one I know talks constantly about hersrlf, her family & won’t let you get much in in the way of yours. It’s alwsys about her. She cannot stand the slightest criticism, etc. I used to ride home from work with one & everything was always about her.

She was there at times when I needed her help though. She would repeat stories of her own glory often. Drove me crazy. I have a Pisces moon.

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on December 16, 2018:

Taurus sun and Leo Sun are in a square aspect, so there is challenge there and chemistry. You are mellow, feel good in your own skin, and are gentle and sensual. He thinks he's the King, and has a more outgoing nature than you. Both of you are stubborn. Again, the Gemini and Virgo Moons are also in a square, in mutable or changeable signs. You are fun and keep up with everything that's going on. He's more analytical and can be a bit critical, but both of you are good communicators. I think there is chemistry here, but there is a lot I don't know without a whole chart. It will be very interesting.

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on September 10, 2018:

Lovely Scorpio,

This is hard to follow. It's good you used the year of birth, so he is a Virgo Sun. But each of our 10 planets are in a zodiac sign, the planets are in any of 12 houses, and the aspects all matter.. Usually Mercury (how we think) and Venus (love and social life) are in a sign the same as our Sun sign (Virgo) or before or after it. So those planets can be in Leo or Libra. That can account for the differences you see.

Scorpio and Taurus are opposite signs, but that can add challenge and interest to a romantic relationship. He does sound like he has a lot of Leo in him, so you have a good feel for this. He could still have a Leo Ascendant--the way we present ourselves. And Taurus guys are slow in making decisions.

OK, later you say the Mercury and Venus are in Virgo. Hmm. I think the only way is to get his chart done. There are inexpensive sites like Cafeastrology who do a pretty good job and don't cost a lot. If you are serious about him I can cast and interpret one, you can Google my name.I can't really tell from what you wrote. Best Regard,

Lovelyscorpio on September 10, 2018:

I am dating a guy who is Virgo sun (2 degress) he was born on August 26th- 1967. So for what I read that makes him a Leo- Virgo cusp.. I am a Scorpio sun- Virgo moon! In a perfect world I know we are compatible my sun and his sun my moon and his moon.. we have a great connection when we are together but when we are not together I feel we disconnect as another user described in their relationship he is sooo slow .. it just seems one tiny step forward is followed by a giant leap behind. I do feel more comfortable around him after months of dating and I can sense he does as well! You know scorpios can have their guard up the same as Virgos... but we clash sometimes and I don’t know if it’s because my Scorpio sun clush with his Taurus moon ( since we are opposites) or if he really is a Leo as a I see some Leo traits in his personality, although his natal chart says Virgo sun -2 degress. His mercury and Venus are also a Virgo... mars in I don’t know! Sometimes he comes out as self- centered and talks about himself all the time, not empathetic enough and selfish and I don’t like it... although I can be self centered and arrogant as well ( as Scorpio I think very highly of myself and my Virgo moon makes me have high standards) I am empathetic and unselfish and very sweet. I thought with all the Virgo in his chart he will be a selfless person but is the opposite..I just don’t understand maybe I am dealing with a Leo man instead of a Virgo.

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on June 07, 2018:

Since you have a Gemini Moon, you are a talker, and in relationships, you want to talk everything out. He has the Taurus Moon, and doesn't really "chat." He only talks about his emotions when he really has something to say.

Cancer and Libra are squared, and this makes a challenge for these two Sun Signs. But it's not a really bad thing, it can be exciting. If life goes too smoothly, it gets boring, right? You want security and a Libra craves being in a relationship. Also, with his Taurus Moon, he's kind of old fashioned, and probably wants a long term relationship when he's ready. Taurus makes a sensual guy for sure!

I think this is definitely a good combination. He will talk, but I was married to a Taurus Sun, so I get the quietness thing, it's not you, it's just how he is. I recall the sexiness....super romantic.

I think I would give it another try. You are both natural leaders too, Cancer and Libra are what we call cardinal signs. Maybe you both want your own way too much when the two of you are together? Work on that. But go for it once more. Or maybe it's the wrong time, but since you already are here, you should be optimistic and try again. Best Wishes.

Hi! I love your information...

I wanted to ask...

I am a Cancer with a Genimi moon. (June 28, 1973)

I just broke up with a man I dated for almost a year who is a Libra with a Taurus moon. (September 29 1969).

There was so much love between us but also at times an uncomfortableness when we were in public. He could be quiet at times in a way that felt like he was disconnected from me.

Our lovemaking was amazing. We also could discuss ANYTHING.

I miss him and we've talked about possibly getting back together but I wanted to get your input on our astrological compatibility.

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on May 21, 2018:

Hi Priscilla,

Cancer and Leo Sun works, usually Sun signs next to each other are compatible. Mercury and Venus are either in the Sun sign, or a sign before it or after it. If you want to know how he thinks, I have Mercury articles on Hubpages and Exemplore, and a link where you can check. I explain it all.

So Cancers are nurturers, and Leos like lots of attention. Both of you are warm, caring people, and likely have many friends.

The Moon represents our emotions, and the rising sign (also called the ascendant) are two different things. So I am going to interpret what you say as Moon signs.

Your Scorpio Moon means you are very intense emotionally, so passionate that at times you may not even understand your own emotions. But you are loyal and ambitious, independent--all traits he will respect.

The Taurus Moon is gentle and sensible, reliable and kind. It's opposite yours, but that can make it romantic. You need the same things emotionally, but go about getting that in different ways.

I'm thinking if he was burned, your intensity may be a little scary to him, depending on how long ago that was. Also, he's stubborn and set in his ways, because both Leo and Taurus are fixed signs. So he may be "stuck" emotionally. But it depends on how long ago he was hurt. Fixed signs need to be jolted out of those habits, and Cancers are great at gently doing that.

You are reading his warmth and steadiness correctly, I was with a Taurus Sun for 39 yrs. They are sexy in an understated way which surprises people, but earth men do that all the time.

It seems as I was thinking and writing, I basically repeated what you said without thinking about it. I'd love to know where his Mercury is, that's how he thinks. Venus is his love nature.

The 10 years can or can't matter, depending on how old you are. If you are really young, it matters, but not if you are older. He does want someone who feels deeply.

Try to suggest getting out more, but take it slow. I know your feelings are strong, but he may be scared a bit. You're a Cancer woman, you know how to push a little without overdoing it. I think there is potential here, he needs to gently get shaken out of his rut. Taurus Moon loves good food, suggest new restaurants to try and go. He loves nature too, so long walks in the woods, two ideas that don't seem threatening, but can be very romantic, but you will sense when to pull back.

If you aren't making progress after a few more months, then he may not be ready, or have other issues. But see where you get. Check out my Venus in the Signs series on for clues about his love nature. The Mercury ones are split on the two sites I mentioned above. Best Wishes to you!

Hi i am cancer sun and moon scorpio rising. He, the man I have set my eyes on is leo sun and rising taurus moon.. and seems the moon is very strong in him since his charasteristics are relky more taurus than leo.. ok he is allmost 10 years older than me and has been burnt before. My question here is i think is he worth the wait. He is sooo slow taking contact.. we are talking weeks and nothing.. but still when we meet he's sweet and warm and i just KNOW there is something there.. it just seems one tiny step forward is followed ny a giant leap behind. I am just hooked by his warmth and steadyness what seems to balance my big emotions.. and yes i think my emosions might scare him a bit and bush further.. but on the other hand i think he wants a eoman who feels deeply.. oh how hard it is to get to his mind

I think you've been very astute in figuring out the astrology of your relationship here. If after two years you never get mean or call each other names when you fight, that's good. We were Taurus and Cancer, and never tried to be hurtful in arguments or disagreements either.

Your Taurus Moon is very sexy too, I bet you love to make love in nature (secluded, of course). The Cancer rising makes you nurturing and kind hearted, and so I see you happy in a long term relationship.

Since he has the Sag Moon, and you the Sag Sun, you understand the way he feels, so he doesn't have to say it all the time. Scorpio men are loyal and can be very faithful, I don't know why every astrologer tries to make them sound like sex addicts. His feelings are very intense, and this is great with your Cancer rising. He sees you as the one who can "get" him, and he feels at home with you.

Gemini Rising is a fun person. He changes often or seems to, but the Scorpio Sun should ground him. With Venus in Libra, he wants to do everything together, Libra is the marriage sign and they live to be in a partnership. Also, his Sag Moon makes him restless, but you can travel, try new interests, he is a bit of an intellectual, but you can keep up with him.

I know how stubborn Taurus can be, but you do it in a sweet sort of way, or passive aggressive, it's not confrontational. He just doesn't show his emotions as much as you, with Cancer rising, but he can deal with them.

Your Sun does make you an optimist, and the Taurus/Cancer/Scorpio is so romantic. I used to tell my Taurus with the Scorpio ascendant he was too lazy to cheat on me, but I was kidding, he never would. He passed on, we never left each other. We dated for 5 yrs. in addition to the 34 married ones. It's good to take time to get to really know what each other are like in a crisis, when they are sick or stressed, all that.

I think you two have a lot going for you. Maybe the time isn't quite right now, but don't give up. I think you can be good together. Sometimes we need those ups and downs to realize how much we really care. Best of luck and I hope you work it all out. I think you will.

Kay on May 16, 2018:

I'm a Sagittarius Sun with a Taurus Moon and Cancer Rising. I am dating a Scorpio Sun, Sagittarius Moon and Gemini Rising man. It's almost been 2 years for us and there have been many ups and downs but I feel as though I am reluctant to let anyone I truly love easily go. He has his Venus in Libra and he tends to share my desire to hold on when I can be stubborn and too emotional for him to handle. I read what you wrote about Taurus moon though and I absolutely laughed and cried with joy. This sounds so much like me! I adore hugs and love feeling comfortable. I even woke up this morning and the amount of dandelions in my backyard overjoyed me and caught my eye so much that before breakfast or anything else, I sat outside for a good hour and half enjoying and appreciating the beauty of everything around me. I dont know how compatible me and my boyfriend are but I know that I wont let him go so easily. Apart from casual arguments, we have never yelled at each other and rarely ever get loud. It's more of an upset crying sort of arguments and he is very loyal so the fact that he would ever cheat on me is out of the question. All my friends come to me for advice and feel as though they can easily confide in me. Perhaps the Cancer and Taurus in me both work well. I grew up strongly developing my sun sign though. I feel as though my optimism makes me see the best of the world while knowing the truth of it in the recesses of my mind, I cannot let that affect how I wish to lead life on Earth and guide others to perhaps do the same. It's only one life, and to define it based on what we get or don't get would be such a naive way to conclude whether we lived a good life or not. Oh this was lovely though.

Other fire signs would attract you, like Leo or Aries. Your Taurus Moon opposes Scorpio, so that's why Scorpios get on your nerves. And Virgos can be very critical. Basically, you don't seem to like water or earth signs. Air signs would be really interesting to you. Maybe Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius? Let me know how it goes. Take care.

I can't tell if you would be a good doctor just from your Moon Sign position. Taurus Moon traits are listed in this article. You are patient, gentle and sympathetic. But the Moon rules emotional strength, and in Taurus, you may not have the drive or focus. To determine that, you would need a horoscope cast. I am an Astrologer, but the terms of service do not allow me to do that on this site, I have my own site listed in my profile. Best Wishes, Jean

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on December 28, 2017:

Capricorn is an earth sign and Gemini is an air sign. Normally just knowing that I would say it's not the best combo, but each planet is in a sign. I like the moons in Taurus, both of you are emotionally stable and are looking for a relationship, especially you, being a Capricorn. His being Gemini brings a lighthearted touch I think you both need to be together. I can't tell a lot only knowing this or how long you have been seeing each other, but if it's good so far, it has potential. Good luck. We could always do a tarot reading if you would like: Jean

Hi runninglate (cool name),

There is a good site called which explains what each planet in the sign means, and both beginner and advanced stuff. Being a Leo sun and Taurus Moon, both are fixed signs, so you don't like change. Leo sun people are a bit flashy and like to get out on the town. But the Taurus Moon means you like nature, good food and wine, good things in life. Leo likes good things in life too. The Moon represents your emotions, so you are more gentle and sensitive than you seem on the outside. Best Wishes. I have articles on Exemplore about Sun signs and Moon signs. Also Venus signs, those are fictional, but the people have the characteristics of the correct Venus signs. I give a link so you can see where yours is. The Venus things are on Take care.

Hi, I love your screen name! With you being Capricorn and both of you having Taurus Moons, you wouldn't even waste each other's time unless you felt it was serious. The Moon represents your emotions. and Taurus is steadfast, honest and true. Romantic too. If you think of the Zodiac signs in order, Aries-Pisces, Capricorn is two signs away from the end. Maturity grows as a person is born with a sun sign later in the Zodiac, like Capricorn. Aries are the "Babies of the Zodiac." So yes, you would be the deeper thinker. I was with a Taurus man for 39 yrs. and he passed 3 yrs. ago, and he was a sweetheart, devoted, loving, kind. Very romantic too, though he was a tad more sensible than me, a Cancer, being a dreamer. You are both very astute and obviously know what you have with each other. And of course, Earth signs are the most committed. He is Gemini, so has a little bit of a more lighthearted way about him, and you need one partner to be a little more lively or humorous than the other. But I think for sure this is a lovely match, and made for being a long term one. Keep in touch! You will be those old lovers holding hands even when you are sitting in your rocking chairs having a glass of wine (or tea). Go for it!

I do hope we will end up together coz we're both working hard for our relationship and we both want a long term one. And we're both committed with each other.

How nice to see you Sylvia! Taurus Moon usually means a person who needs security, and likes comfort and beauty, but will work for it (as long as there is time to relax). Of course he should have been happy while dating you! I know with the Scorpio moon, he should have snapped out of it!

Probably the moon has a negative aspect to it, as the Taurus Moon alone shouldn't cause pessimism. My late husband had a Taurus Sun. He used to get maudlin about WW two and space movies. I always thought that he must have fought in that war in another life, he would get so upset watching documentaries about it! He always loved rockets and space, he would take off work to watch certain launch events. He got very emotional about those too. He had Venus in Pisces. So I'm still thinking it's more than the Taurus Moon. A good meal in a restaurant or musical event should cheer him up. Best Regards, Jean

Sylvia Sky from USA on November 18, 2017:

My Taurus Moon, a charming Libra Sun, was a pessimist. An expert on World War One, he liked heartrending movies about prisoners, outcasts, and Irish orphans. I (Scorpio Moon) was annoyed that he was so pessimistic, thinking he should be happy or at least happier because he was dating me. Conversations always led to how civilization was circling the drain and we were all going to die and die alone, and how his father never bonded with him. Could this have been his Taurus Moon?

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on November 16, 2017:

Most Taurus guys are faithful and steady. Your ex probably has planets in Gemini, many of who are the biggest liars in the Zodiac. I was married to a Taurus and we dated for 5 yrs. and were married for 34, and he treated me like a Queen. So it's the Gemini inflence. Your Taurus Moon represents your emotions, so you want a Taurus type relationship, a secure and loving one. Scorpio rising is the mask you wear, so it's hard for others to get to know you. The Leo sun makes you outgoing for Earth signs, but the Scorpio and Taurus in you is compatible with water and earth signs. Leo is a challenging aspect for Scorpio and Taurus, but that can be sexual interest and fun too. You just picked a bad one. Every planet is in an astrology sign, not just the sun. Try a Pisces or Virgo, or even a Taurus who gives off the vibe of wanting a real relationship. They usually will tell you right away they care and wear their hearts on their sleeves. They send flowers, have great taste in jewelry, and treat you like a lady. Capricorns do that too! Good Luck. I have Sun sign articles on all 12 signs on Exemplore. Best Wishes. Jean

Actually, Moon in Taurus individual possesses a sharp artistic sense but is deliberate in reaching decisions. He or she tends not to be aggressive but instead, is rather good-nature, accenting the need for security and the necessity of saving for "a rainy day."

However, this person may also be prideful, stubborn and jealous.

In general, those with the Moon in Taurus are, in a word, conservative. They tend to fear anything outside the norm. However, they are deeply moved by things of beauty. Totally lacking in impulsive behavior, such individuals strive for success in a conservative manner and by investing much hard work into the process....See

There's a lot going on here. You do a great job explaining Taurus Moons. But the bigger issue here is Your Gemini and his Sag sun. These are opposites, and we are all attracted to our opposites. It doesn't always work. We want the same things but can't agree how to go about getting them. The Taurus Moon and Cancer Moon are are great. Both of you want a cozy, sincere love that will last forever (a little more exciting with Gemini and Sag. Taurus can be a bit lazy,, and be sure he's over his ex before you do anything rash. Hello siddhanto roy,

I came online tonight to work on your planets, but I ran into a problem. Are you using Vedic Astrology? I used my Ephemeris, the book of planetary tables. I did not cast a horoscope, so cannot be sure of the Ascendant or Moon, but all the planets I looked up are in different signs than the ones you gave me. The Moon I see is in Gemini, although that could just be the time difference. But all the other planets in my books were different. I see Sun in Sagittarius at 27 degrees, Moon in Gemini, Mercury in 8 degrees of Sag, Venus in 16 degrees of Scorpio, Mars in 15 degrees of Sag, Jupiter in 14 degrees of Virgo, Saturn in 4 degrees of Aquarius, Uranus in 12 degrees of Capricorn, Neptune in 15 degrees of Capricorn and Pluto in 21 degrees of Scorpio.

I am unsure if you want me to continue since we aren't doing a complete horoscope, and because our information differs so much. If you want to continue, please write to me on my blog, and let me know. If you need immediate information, perhaps a Tarot reading would help, since you were concerned with money and career matters. They only cost $25.00, but we can work something out. Also, I lost your email address, so if you still want to continue onward, please write back on the blog.

Take care,

It's really hard for me to give advice based on just a few planetary positions, I'm trying to get people to go to my blog to get a real horoscope done. Being an Aquarian with a Taurus Moon means you do not like change, and are very fixed in your outlooks and opinions. Perhaps you come on too strong at work? If you have a Master's degree it means you are a smart person, so I think it must be a transiting planet causing you trouble. That means comparing the planets from your birth horoscope and putting the planets where they are now on it. I'm just looking up the current planetary lineup today. I see that Saturn is in the early degrees of Scorpio, and that is opposite your Taurus Moon. Saturn is the teacher planet, and the Moon rules your emotions. This is a hard thing, but it will pass eventually. Try hard not to get overworked emotions. Also Jupiter just went in Cancer. Jupiter rules luck and abundance, and Cancer is a good sign with your Taurus Moon, so it may help the effect of the Saturn.

Breathe, meditate, and try to pull your emotions together. You can do it on an interview, it's only for a short while. Again, without knowing your whole horoscope, I can't tell what the trouble is for sure. Aquarians like to be fair, so I guess you feel others are being unfair to you. Just try to curb that. I think it's the optimism of Jupiter and the heavy, karmic action of Saturn affecting you. I hope you do better, try to do activities to calm yourself. Take care.

Hi micci,

Next time you write me I prefer longer questions like this on my blog, It's not just you, I tend to say a lot, and if feels more private there. But let's see what's what. A Capricorn Sun person (or any person) very often has Mercury or Venus in the sign next to their Sun, as he likely does, since you see some Aquarius traits. They are the 2 planets closest to the sun. Plus without a birthday and time I don't know what planet is his Ascendant (how people view him, his facade, or mask), and I don't know what houses all these planets are, not to mention what aspects they have to each other. So if this situation gets serious, I'd rather do a whole chart, again, you would see what I need on the blog. But I'm doing what I can to answer these types of questions.

You sound more like a Cancer to me (it takes one to know one)! Since you both have Taurus Moons, that's a fixed sign, and Taurus makes people like what's familiar and sometimes can get them in a rut. Since you keep getting together and moving apart, the Moons could be the reason that you have trouble letting each other go. If you are Cancer and he's Capricorn, that makes you opposites in Astrology, and that's always a huge attraction. Your opposite is often the love of your life, though many people don't end up together. It's like they both want the same things out of life, but don't agree about how to get there. I have a hub on here, there's two parts about Do Opposites Attract in Astrology? if you look for that here on HP, read the Cancer/Capricorn one and see if it sounds like you two.

I've seen Cancers born as late as 7/23, so if you were born on the 24th, you probably are a Sunsign Leo, but could have Mercury and Venus in Cancer. I'm sorry if this is coming out rambling, my computer is getting repaired and I'm on my son's laptop which I am unfamiliar with.

I was answering as I read, but now I see you are thinking of a tarot reading. Actually I recommend them before doing all the Astrology work, because it's faster and more detailed. If you decide to do that, I promise I won't scare you. It will show if you are going to be involved in getting in a serious relationship in the near future. But it may also show us you are going to get your dream job, that your life is going to change and go in a great new direction, or that you may not be with him, but will always be great friends (I know, that sucks, but you don't get too many GREAT friends in life)! Many of us don't end up with our soulmate, because they are opposites of us, and mirror back our own traits, and we don't always like what we see. Anyway, why don't you go visit my blog. I've made up people of all Astrology signs based on the hundreds of each sign I've known in my career, and I've done the same with their Venus signs, I have a website listed where you can find your and his Venus signs on the article. If you decide to go forward, let me know, my email address is on there. If you have other questions, I'm happy to try to help, but there's a contact form on the blog, use that, or come here if it's a quick one. Hang in there. Maybe it was meant to be for the times you had, but it's time for something new and better. Take care.

micci on June 10, 2013:

Ah, I'm deeply in love with a Capricorn boy (January 14) who is still far from being an Aquarius but sometimes I see him with a few Aquarius traits (he's such a rebel). All that's keeping me away from having his heart is there's no love for me back, haha. I'm very loyal to him though, due to my Taurus Moon. He has a Taurus Moon too, despite it. I'm on the cusp of Cancer/Leo and sometimes I see myself as more of a Cancer than a Leo (July 24) because of my ever deeply-embedded emotions. I enjoy adventure and fun though so much with friends.

I've never done a serious tarot reading before but I'll think about it. I've been wanting one since I went to the last public festival. I wish I could know if I will keep being in his life as I hope for him to keep being in mine. He's stated that our relationship will only be strictly friends from on, despite having a passionate on-and-off love affair, but I'm grounded towards being with him. I wish I could know if I would ever find love with him in the future, yet I'm also scared to know because I don't want to fall into a demise with knowing the future . . . hehe. I know I am seriously ready for a happy, long-term and seriously loving relationship already with either him or with someone else. I just keep hurting myself over him, yet I want someone attractive, real, friendly and understanding like him so much! He's like my soulmate ~ his ambitions and dreams come first for him, and I understand that.

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on June 01, 2013:

Hi Kim,

I can't do a whole Horoscope here, but if you want to consider a Tarot reading later to see which way the wind blows with the 2 of you, I do them from my blog, So you are Pisces and the other person is Sagittarius. These are both signs we call mutable ones, meaning you both crave change and have a lot of interests. Or at least you are happiest then. Water and Fire can be tricky (Pisces being water and Sag being Fire) because Fire puts Water out. So you would have to be careful not to smother him.. As a Pisces, I don't really see that, you likely are artistic and creative and have a lot of friends and interests, you aren't one to cling. Plus that Capricorn Ascendant makes you appear self sufficient, and you probably are. You do crave quiet time, so while you are meditating or painting or out, he's free and not feeling tied down, and you are getting the "me" time Pisceans need. I like that. Many people don't have the faster moving planets in their Sun sign, like Mercury (how you think) and Venus (social life and love nature). So the good news is that if you are feeling the chemistry, I'm venturing a guess he has one or both of those signs in Scorpio (nice for both your Pisces Sun and Capricorn Ascendant) or in Capricorn, again good for your Rising sign. They would be in signs next to the person's Sun sign, and almost everyone has that, you see Mercury and Venus in the Sun sign, but not all 3 that often. That would mean he feels the same way about you do about important things in life. Ascendants are the way you seem, but with Mercury and Venus in compatible signs, this is a big help. Let me know how it goes. I also have Venus signs and Moonsigns on my blog, if you know where he has those. It won't tell us as much as a whole horoscope, but it's more info. Also, if you are looking this stuff up online, there is a math correction for the Moon, because it goes thru each sign in 2 1/2 days. So don't just use that sign unless they ask you more about the time zone. I hope that helps a little. If it looks like things are going well, we can do the tarot reading, those are good for detailed, timely info. Take care.

He was born in Perth Australia but I am unsure of his birth time so understand that wont help much. Thanks in advance!

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on May 27, 2013:

I can't really answer that without casting a chart, though people keep writing me and giving me lists of what sign their planets are in. I don't know your birth time, so can't tell which of the 12 houses your planets are in, or what aspects they have. So I can't tell anything about the future. The Cancer Ascendant makes you have a nurturing quality that draws people to you. The Taurus Moon means your emotions are true, and you probably like to feel secure in your relationships, keeping the same friends for a long time. Sun in Sag people have many interests and like to be outdoors, you could be athletic, even more than you realize, and Cancer and Taurus influences are more sedentary. Sags like to study different cultures and religions, and dabble in some of the religions or philosophies. Venus in Libra is a romantic Venus, and Venus also rules Taurus, your Moon. So you want to settle down and be part of a couple, and are more settled than the usual Sag person. Mercury in Scorpio means you are stubborn about your opinions and what you think, it takes a lot of make you change your mind. The Mars is Scorpio makes you a hard worker, probably in something you care deeply about, or to make money for something or someone you care deeply about. The Cancer Asc. and Taurus Moon soften that. I hope that helps, and want to direct any other Astrology questions to my blog,, where you give more info and I can cast a whole chart. Best wishes.

Welcome to HP, and thank you for sharing your Astrological info with me. I smiled a few times because my husband is Taurus Sun, but he has a Venus in Pisces. I am Cancer with a Capricorn Moon, Mercury and Venus in Gemini, and I must be very careful how I say things as to not hurt his feelings. He's not wimpy, he's so sweet. It's just those Gemini thoughts are swimming in my mind, and pop out at unlikely times!

My first love was a Capricorn, but I have never had a relationship with a Virgo. I have Mars and Uranus in Cancer too, so have lots of traits, just am chatty, yet only with those I know well. I am reserved with others, with the Capricorn Moon.

My husband and I lived in a rather large city, but he always loved the woods, like you do. I learned to go hiking and did begin to appreciate the quiet and the beauty. I have been working on past life charts a little bit, and it seems I was a city/party girl, whose lesson in this life is to calm down and enjoy the simple beauty in life. Taurus people are very devoted, we've been married 33 yrs. and knew each other for 5 before that. I recall our first Astrology teacher saying that we were a good combo, but if we ever wanted to leave each other, it would be very hard, as it was a karmic relationship.

In your case I think the Pisces influence helps you to express yourself, though I know Taureans show their feelings best in a physical way. The love of simple things matters too, although he does have a good eye like you, and likes to research and buy the best.

I also think there is something beautiful and soothing about rain, the rain itself and the sound. It's nice to stay in with a bottle of wine, or put on the fireplace, or just go for a walk in it. The Earth smells so clean then. My husband also loves music and that's another great way to relax.

I think the Leo rising gives you a nice little dash of fire charm! Too much Earth would make you dull, which you are not. I'm sorry you were hurt by a Virgo, I don't know many, surprising considering my years in Astrology. Another Astrologer here did a hub and I believe she said there are more Virgos than any other sign. But I don't seem to gravitate to them, despite all my water signs (Scorpio Rising) and Earth Moon.

Thanks for writing in, I hope to be "seeing" more of you! I write on all different sites now, and am likely to be on Infobarrel, but I check each site each day. Check out my blog if you have a chance! Take care, Jean

Hello Jean,

a lovely article you have here on Taurus moon. Sometimes, I feel like I'm the living epitome of Taurus moon and Taurus itself!

I would say I'm a very kind, extremely loving, affectionate, romantic, dreamy, idealistic, friendly, sociable and sensual person. Loves my material comforts, love perfumes, love flowers, love beauty in every sense of the word. I seem to be good at spotting out a fake, when it comes to fake flowers, bags, clothes etc. I think I have an eye for quality. Unsurprisingly, I always choose the most expensive item in the store unconsciously, then I look at the price and realize! Usually, its a pair of shoes or a nice bag, the good quality of the leather usually shows up to me etc. However, I am not wasteful with my finances, I buy what I practically need etc.

In relationships, I am usually very loving and affectionate like I said. I show my love through mostly physical means, by big hugs and a hand on the shoulder, massage my partner etc. I love physical attention, my partner who takes my hand and holds it lovingly while taking a walk and a deep long kiss on the lips makes my whole day. I have a great love for soft, romantic and sensual things. Be it soulful romantic music, candlelight, romantic walks on the beach nearing sunset feeling the breeze on my face, smelling that beautiful air. The outdoors is very important to me. My sun is in the ninth house, it makes me spiritual and (imaginatively) adventurous, I love the outdoors. I am mostly unhappy if I have to stay in all day, especially in a big city where no trees seem to be in sight. I love nature with a passion. I love hearing the rain. Some family think I am nuts. I love the sound of thunder, love being outside when its raining, to feel it on my face, to enjoy the experience.

To relax from the crazy world, sometimes I put on youtube video of nature on my TV to unwind from a hectic day. It seems to soothe and calm me. I almost have this sensual and romantic attachment to nature. Just hearing the breeze and the rain at night, having to stick my head out the window instantly makes me feel connected to a soul-mate kind of love. My deep appreciation of nature has made me want to take care of nature etc by not littering and giving the natural world respect. I am a great fan of Michael Jackson (who interestingly has sun in virgo, moon in pisces, mars in taurus) who has sung some of the great songs respecting the natural world and bringing peace into the world.

I am deeply sensual, no partner has matched my energy for physical pleasures. Since I have mars and venus in pisces though, it seems to go deeper than just physical, for me it has to be. I want romantic and daring love making sessions to transcend the real world, go into a kind of spiritual bonding where I lose sight of what or who the heck I am...I want to get lost in love and the utmost pleasure of love is when I am lost in it. This isn't too secure for my Taurus aspects. I felt this kind of passionate, physical and spiritual perfection of love with only one person, he is a Virgo with moon in Pisces. I have loved him for years since I was 14, that was 8 years ago. We lost touch (as you would naturally with a Virgo man cuz they are so freaking cold, silent, and retiring when it comes to matters of the heart!) then we found each other again, last year and we got married out of the blue. He told me that he could never match up what he felt with me with one single person he met, in feelings, in humor, in beauty (in and out) in every way. We both felt as if we are each other's soul mate etc. Yeah, that's what you get when you dump the fickle, unresponsive and non communicative Virgo for a few years (it was 5 and half) to make him realize. I didn't plan to get back with him at all, obviously I still loved him after many years but I had to leave force myself to leave him, he was just hurting me too much at the time and I was absolutely broken. Thanks to the tenacity and emotional maturity of Taurus, I think it payed off in the end. You know I wasn't going to be messed around and I wasn't going to be Virgo's sex partner or lover whenever he felt like it so I abandoned him and met someone else after a few years of extreme loneliness and heartbreak. It was a Leo (not too bad, I do love Leo's sunny and positive outlook on life) he helped my confidence so much from Virgo's B.S but with a Gemini moon! This didn't fit me at all. I think we would make good friends but this is as far as I think it should have gone. However, we were together for a few years but I should have left him way before. This man was disloyal and flirtatious! Loved attention from opposite sex. The problem with Taurus and I think it really is a problem is, they don't let go easily of deep romantic attachments. I think it can make them very depressed, physically ill to have to imagine sharing a bed and a new body with someone else because they are so physically possessive, and emotionally territorial too. They love deeply with all their soul, they are very faithful and loyal. I don't get attracted easily to any person or passing fancy, not like Aries for example! I have an Aries girl friend and she falls in and out of love like night and day, lol sometimes I wish I was more like her. In a sense that I could let go of relationships which I felt were not going to work! All my real relationships have been very long term or nothing at all. I'm very passionate and it has taken up a lot of my time and mental efforts. Venus in the eighth house here doesn't help, makes me extremely passionate, can be jealous and possessive not to mention Taurus in itself.

But generally, I would say I am a simple creature who is very calm, enjoys the simple things in life and is quite stable. I have helped out a lot of less secure signs friends and they say I work like a charm and that I have been totally devoted, caring as a friend. However, I feel friend is a strong word and I don't give it to any person right away. I think people have to earn the word friend. I do not have many, I have 2 or 3 I can call real friends that I can pour my whole heart out too and they wont't blatantly judge me.

Unfortunately, for my double position with Venus and Mars in Pisces, it makes me quite unorganized, scattering my energies and 'head in the clouds', this go with the flow attitude in life I seem to be torn between with my triple position in Taurus seem to be very insecure and frustrating. However, because Taurus and Pisces are quite alike it makes me anything but unkind or ruthless. I have way too much imaginative and romantic mental energy, am very passive and feminine (Leo rising helps and sun in ninth helps out here tho)

I do understand the position of Venus as I am a Taurus and its exalted position with Venus in Pisces. I ALSO know Venus' fall in Virgo, since my partner has both Venus and Mars in Virgo, drives me nuts but hey, it keeps things hot and challenging :)

I have foot in mouth too, lol. I talk enough for both of us. But he really listens, something I notice is lacking in life now that so many are busy playing with their smart phones and Ipads while you are trying to engage them in a conversation. At least when a Taurus says something, it's worth hearing. I always chat through the "awkward" parts.

Kerry43 on November 09, 2012:

haha, omg, yes that is SO me, Jean! My Taurean doesn't really need to speak much actually. He conveys what he's thinking in very few, and unlike myself, doesn't suffer from foot-in-mouth lol.

How interesting.

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on November 08, 2012:

My first love was a Capricorn (fatal opposites) but I never dated or had a relationship with a Virgo man. I guess neither one of us would stop talking! Is your Taurus a man of few words too?

Kerry43 on November 05, 2012:

Oh yes, absolutely. I was once married to a Virgo - enough said :/

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on November 05, 2012:

Hi Kerry,

How funny, I am Cancer, and my husband is the Taurus. It's a good combo :).

Kerry43 on October 31, 2012:

I had a browser crash this morning and almost finished reading this!

This is so precise about my Taurus hubby. He's a goofy romantic, cool, calm and collected. A great compliment to my Cancer sign...

Thanks, Jean, this is very interesting. Thumbs up!

An Aquarius Sun is a fixed, air sign, who is a non conformist and person interested in many things, very curious. Sag rising is a fire sign, and the ascendant is the way others see you. Sag people are ruled by Jupiter, so are very generous, tolerant of others, and generally fun and easy to get along with people. Your Taurus moon is an issue that would make you resist change, as it's also a fixed sign. It means you love nature and the outdoors, and are a natural and sincere person who doesn't like to argue or fuss. All 3 are equally important, the Sun, Moon and Ascendant are often called the "Holy Trinity" in Astrology. All your other planets are in signs and houses too. I would give all 3 the same weight, and see what sign you have the most planets in. Best wishes!

Hello Jean!

I am a young astrologer. I'm aspiring to be a cartoonist, but I adore astrology. I just found out today that I am a Taurus moon sign! I am also an Aquarius sun, and Sagittarius rising. I was reading this when what caught me off guard was the part about change! Aquarius is all about change. And I love surprises!!! I know that the moon sign is just as important as the sun, but is there a way to determine which one could be stronger for you?

Thank you!

Adredhead11 on February 26, 2012:

Thank you for your help and I'll be on the lookout for your new site.

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on February 26, 2012:

It doesn't go by opposites. You need to look on a planetary table, I used cafeastrology, but don't pay for their charts, they are incorrect. The best source is a book called an Ephemeris, but it's all planet tables, so you won't want to buy one unless you use it a lot. Your library may have one. A Capricorn sun can give you a moon anywhere really, and the planets could be in any sign. Just knowing your sunsign isn't enough info. Mercury and Venus are closest to the Sun, they may be in Capricorn. But they could also be in Aquarius, or Sag. Or one in all three. It's more complcated. Look on Cafeastrology and it will tell you where your planets are. Best wishes. I'm starting a site, and it will feature astrology after I have time to write more.

Adredhead11 on February 25, 2012:

Hello again,

You are a fast responder. I appreciate that. I understand which planets are opposites, which is why I'm so confused why my moon isn't in Taurus given the opposition aspect of my Mars in Scorpio and Moon. I am a Capricorn Sun by the way with a Pisces Ascendant.

Anamika S Jain from Mumbai - Maharashtra, India on February 25, 2012:

Awesome Analysis! I am Aries by Moon Sign and Taurus by sun sign and I find the traits of Taurus more true for me as far as I am concerned.

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on February 25, 2012:

Hello Adredheadll,

Well, if it's only 0.47 degrees, the moon is only in the very, very beginning of Gemini, so it's logical that you may feel more of the traits of a Taurus moon. My husband has sun in 0 degrees Taurus, and although he has Taurus traits, he has Aries ones too. Any planet opposite Taurus should be in Scorpio. If a planet is in Gemini, the opposite is Sagittarius, so I'm not sure about your info. What sun sign are you? Best wishes.

Adredhead11 on February 24, 2012:

I really enjoyed your words and creativity in describing Moon in Taurus. I have a Moon in Gemini according to my birth chart although it's in 0.47 degrees. My Moon is also in opposition to my Mars, which is Scorpio; I'm trying to figure out since it's in opposition, then why is it not in Taurus? Does it make any sense why I would feel more as a Taurus Moon than a Gemini Moon?

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on December 19, 2011:

Hello julie,

Thanks for commenting, and I am happy you feel the article represents you. That sure is alot of Leo for a Taurus Moon girl! Since Taurus and Leo are both fixed signs, it's interesting that you don't have trouble with change, so your Gemini Sun must have strong aspects to counteract that! Leos and Taureans both like to rest and take it easy, helpful for a Gemini. Geminis are very intelligent, and like to do so many things at one time, so that may be a positive in your chart. You are correct, the houses and aspects matter too. Venus in Leo makes you generous, and I'm sure you love to go out. Maybe not dressed up though. My husband is Taurus and I swear he comes out in shirts I know are 20 years old. Taurus people crave comfort. And they like beautiful things, like Leos. I have Jupiter in Leo too, and often give money to people when I really shouldn't! But it's good to be generous, it comes back to you! As time goes on, your planetary degrees move, so as you get older, that stuff in Leo may move into Virgo. Then you will worry more about safety, neatness, and perhaps enjoy the outdoors more. Take care.

i enjoyed reading this too!! i love astrology and have always been interested about my placements in my chart,i have a Gemini Sun & Moon in Taurus,my chart is dominated my leos!! i hate it!! i have,Venus,Mars,Jupiter & Ascendant all in leo!! :(

i have no water signs in my chart expect for pluto in scorpio and it would be really beneficial if i had a water placement to my moon,i mean im fine with change,as long as it happens slowly not like all of a sudden i like to get little hints to whats up ahead

but this article is about 90% accurate i think it depends which house it is in too and other aspects

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on December 05, 2011:

Hello Marissa,

Thanks for taking the time to comment, and I'm happy you found the info accurate. I'm sure it's the Taurus moon that helps you decide to dress for comfort instead of pleasing others. Not to mention what stilettos and heels do to injure our feet! My husband is Taurus sun, and he literally wears clothes until they fall off his back!

Marissa on December 05, 2011:

Hi Jean,

I am a Libra Sun, Taurus Moon. I really enjoyed the article and I would like to say for the record that I do have some of these traits, I am stubborn, cautious (personal experience), loyal, and fiercely protective over my loved ones. I like peace, but at the same time, I love a challenge, a mystery, the unusual, the exotic and that comes from the strong Scorpio in my Chart. I am with a Leo Sun and we have been together for a long time, we met in middle school. I'm in college now. I am not the easily defeated type of girl, I don't have to wear stilettos to feel important or need the "good life" to be satisfied, and I hate superficiality to the core. I am always full of energy and I like to be on-the-go. I have read that they are uncompromising, but I probably compromise the most, I am a Libran and I find myself self-sacrificing and trying to make others happy. Most of my friends, and I keep close ones (quality not quantity), are fire (Leo and Sags)and water (Scorpio mainly). I have mostly Air in my Chart.

Loved the Article

Jean Bakula (author) from New Jersey on December 03, 2011:

Hello Roisin,

Yes, it sounds like you've learned more about Astrology! Taurus Moon people (or Sun, or Ascendant)will all have Taurus traits. Taurus is a fixed sign, and change is very hard for them. I am married to a Taurus man, so believe me, I know. They are gentle, patient people, unlike Geminis, who are in a hurry to do 10 things at a time. You will show traits from both. Taurus loves committment though, I've been with mine for 37 yrs. They are hard working. Mercury and Venus move through all the zodiac signs in about a year, so this means your Mercury (how you think) or Venus (how you love ) could be in a sign close to your Gemini sun, either Aries, Taurus, or Gemini could be the ranges of those. But you are on the right track. I have a hub about acendants or rising signs that may help you too. Best wishes.

Roisin on December 03, 2011:

Hi Jean,

I am a Gemini Sun, Taurus Moon. I've always known alot about sun signs, but am just getting familiar with moon signs. I feel like I act like a Gemini, but have never identified with the "love of change" and committment phobia side of the sign. The description above rings more true. I struggle finding the stability and peace I need because I go about it in a typical Gemini way. Does that interpretation of moon signs sound right?

Thanks for stopping by LisaMarie! I am trying to get a Tarot book publised, and sent out manuscripts at the end of August. I plan to try again in Spring. I used to make a good income casting Astrology charts, and decided it was an easy way to accumulate a base of hubs, and a subject I didn't have to think about too deeply. I am trying to branch out into Book Reviews, and some Metaphysical stuff, my husband & I recently began a 6 yr course of Metaphysics and Parapsychology . So I wrote my first hub based on our classes with the Seven Hermetic Laws and wonder what kind of reaction I will get. It seems many people on here are trying to get published. I may also discuss other Tarot decks, my book is on the Rider-Waite, the most popular one. Best wishes on your writing. It's a big learning curve on here, but the forums and the people are amazingly nice.

I am a Taurus and enjoyed reading up on this. I haven't got so much into signs in the past but I'm becoming more interested in them now, and I see you have many more hubs on these things so I'm planning on giving them all a read :) Thanks
