A Historical and Present Day Reference Guide

Includes year 2017 astrological, astronomy, and other relevant calendar events.

Scorpio is ruled by Mars.

This is the true, original analysis of astrology as pertains to Scorpio by Professor Fredrick White as written in “A Guide to Astrology”, published in 1901-1904. In other words, here is your information from the source; without the 100+ years of modern interpretation and commercial modification by others.

This 100+ year-old manuscript has been cleaned up and somewhat paraphrased for an easier Third Millennium read. However, as promised, an image of the original, unaltered manuscript is also included. Ctrl+/- will adjust the size. For historical perspective and additional nuances it is worth the read.

Information for this article was compiled from United States (U.S.) government archives.

There is a short metaphysics experiment at the end.

The cold, feminine, fruitful, fixed sign. This sign is ruled by Mars. The Sun enters the sign of Scorpio on October 22nd and passes into Sagittarius on November 22nd.

Birthstones and Gemstones

The gems and birthstones for Scorpio are ruby and agate. Needless to say, avoid cubic zirconia; that would kind of defeat the purpose....

I think I'm one of the rare scorpios that stay away from bodies of water. I prefer a water fountain or a creek from oceans and lakes. I enjoy visiting the ocean for a day, but would not like to live by it. I also think we (scorpios) are happier in weather that is either excessive hot or cold. Obviously absolutes do not apply, as moon signs and what not need to be taken into account. But I still think scorpios, in general, prefer extreme weather than mild weather. Whatever makes us feel more alive the better.

I'm definitely a Scorpio through and through for a lot of it - interesting I have struggled with kidney stones and I have mild asthma :) I never saw those associated with my birth sign before. I don't consider myself jealous though - just not really a part of my personality, but a lot of the rest of it is :). Good read.

Ms scorpio. 8 months ago

I've been told I'm a Sagittarius 11/22. But I have all scorpio traits and only a few sag traits. Even though I was born on the last day I believe I'm a scorpio I always have to keep my jealousy in check when in a relationship.
