About Me:

I graduated summa cum laude with a BA from the University of Tennessee with a major in psychology and a minor in religious studies. However, I'm more of an expert in my minor than I am in my major because I've spent two decades studying religions, philosophy, and spirituality on my own time.

I met the foreign language requirements of my bachelor's degree by taking four semesters of ancient Greek (Attic and Ionic dialects), and I placed third in a national intercollegiate classical Greek translation contest hosted by the honor society of the classics. I continued to intensively study ancient Greek on my own time for another two years after my formal studies of it, focusing on Koine. I also studied Latin on my own, achieving at one point what was probably an intermediate proficiency.

My main interests are philosophy, spirituality and mysticism, futures studies (futurology), sociology, human rights, consciousness studies, humanitarianism and social entrepreneurship, etymology/philology/linguistics, and poetry.

My alter-ego on Hubpages is Kerux (a name under which I mostly publish more poetry).

Please Note: I published most of these articles and poems years ago, and I haven't really been on HubPages much since then (until recently). I realized recently that I have a lot of fan mail, and my Hubs have a lot of comments that I had never seen before. I apologize for not responding to these sooner, but I really stopped checking up on my Hubs for years. I will try to respond to comments and fan mail as soon as possible over the next few months. I'll also be revising and improving my articles, and even adding new ones. THANK YOU to everyone who left me fan mail and comments. It is greatly appreciated!
