Mel Flagg COA OSC
Mel Flagg has been working in the medical field for the past 27 years as an ophthalmic technician and is certified by JCAHPO as a certified ophthalmic assistant (COA) as well as an ophthalmic scribe (OSC). She has also earned several continuing education certificates for classes including virology, human physiology and medical neuroscience at Duke University.
Mel currently works at a large clinic in the Central Florida area where she focuses her time on treating patients and writing patient education articles on ocular anatomy and pathology as well as how systemic disease affects the eye.
Mel is also the owner of Blue Dasher Crafts on Etsy, a family owned business devoted to creating beautiful spiritual jewelry with intention. Nothing but good vibes.
Mel lives in a rural community in Northern Central Florida with her husband and daughter along with their dog Sekhmet and their cat Osiris. In her spare time, she enjoys photographing dragonflies (an obsession of hers), crocheting, scrapbooking, reading, gaming and spending time with her family.
